50 Mile day

It was a long day… Especially since 90% of the roads were very narrow to non-existent shoulders. Having to hop off the road when cars come by and push the stroller through the grass slows you down and takes more energy.
So I’m quite pleased with 50 miles and I got my average mileage back up over 35 miles a day.

Nice pond

I liked the statue..

OK so it's a fake dog! ;-)

Must be rough living in such squalor!

The water was almost up to the road on US 60. This is a side road.

Amazing! I just discovered you through one of the bikers you ran into in your travels (he’s featured in the blog :) ). I’m a runner and I’m in awe of your journey! Keep up the GREAT work! I’m addicted to reading this!!

    Happy running!

Just discovered your blog as a result of following The Colorado Guy, Steve Garufi. What an amazing trek you are making! I’ve never been one to tackle a project like this or even something MUCH smaller, but my husband is quite the goal setter. I’ll have to search your posts and see what got you inspired to do something so enormous as running across America. Best of luck to you!!! I know it will be an amazing experience.
